We are part of NTN, the world's third largest bearing manufacturer, we have over 75 plants worldwide and over 100 years of premium quality to our name.Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerSummaryManufacturing Engineers are responsible for maintaining, improving, and streamlining output of production equipment in their areas as well as installing and disposing of equipment. This is a hands‑on Engineering job that requires mechanical aptitude in addition to requiring modern computer skills.Starting Wage$80,000 to $100,00. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At ANBM, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide long term solutions to production issues by using data driven analysis, prototyping, and trial and error analysisAssist with new line equipment installation and equipment removal/disposalWork alongside production technicians, electricians and other various departments to jointly resolve equipment issuesTroubleshoot automated production machinery, identify root cause for trouble and repair as necessaryAssist in performing high skill machine repairs with other engineers and techniciansCommunicate with and utilize external vendor services for machine repairs when scope of work is outside of internal capabilitiesAssist with assigned projects and perform simple design and implementation tasksUnderstand and modify detailed layouts of equipmentMust be able to manage priorities and multi-task efficientlyCreate training documents for new and revised processesAssist in creating equipment maintenance schedulesTrain with Type Change (machine setup) group to learn the different processes of line equipmentEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering OR five years working in a manufacturing facility as a technician under engineering supervisionAble to read and write mechanical drawings with understanding of GD&TProficient in using hand/power tools along with precise measurement equipment such as micrometers and dial indicatorsUnderstanding of programming languages such as C++, CNC programming / CAM, experience preferredExperience in 2D/3D CAD; knowledge of SolidWorks is a plusProficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointMust be an effective communicator with sufficient oral and electronic presentation skillsMetalworking knowledge is a plus, especially CNC Turning and GrindingExperience in automation or high volume manufacturing is highly beneficialBasic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electro‑mechanical equipmentMust follow OSHA safety and environmental guidelines at all timesFluency in a second language is a plus, especially JapanesePhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Hard hats, steel toe safety shoes, and safety glasses are required in all production areas.
