Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - CNC

Introduction

The Manufacturing Engineer supports aerospace operations by developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies. The role focuses on safety, quality, delivery, and cost while ensuring compliance with aerospace regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with machining operations of aerospace components, including milling, turning, and grinding
  • Experience writing instructions, standard operating procedures, and driving continuous improvements
  • Experience completing First Article Reports
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace production environment
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies
  • Experience supporting CNC machining or complex assemblies
  • Knowledge of SAP, MES, or manufacturing execution systems
  • Experience with regulated environments and flight critical hardware

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing processes, routings, and work instructions
  • Support machining, assembly, and test operations for aerospace hardware
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to production processes
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to resolve production issues
  • Lead and support first article inspections (FAI) and product launches
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap, and cost
  • Support MRB (Material Review Board) activities and root cause / corrective action efforts
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, internal standards, and customer requirements
  • Provide shop floor support, troubleshooting equipment, tooling, and process challenges
