About The OpportunityIdentify and implement processes aimed at improving the overall efficiency of the plant operations.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and oversee the Mold Shop personnel and ensure metrics are met.Develop and implement process technology in the plant to minimize variation and optimize the manufacturing of products while reducing costs.Maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and workforce utilization.Support the technical teams in finding root cause analysis for equipment downtime.Provide technical skill, knowledge and judgment as it relates to the quality of product being produced.Provide technical input and support in the advancement of equipment and tools.Manage/lead plant capital improvement projects.Other duties as assigned.Performance Measures and OutcomesSafety metricsUpdated tooling/machineMold PM complianceProject schedule adherenceEducation / Certification – Level RequiredBachelor's Degree in industrial, mechanical or manufacturing engineeringWork ExperienceRequired: 1‑3 years of relevant work experience.Required: Experience using automation to improve process and flow.Required: Programmable logic controller experience.Desired: 3‑5 years of relevant work experience.Additional Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesSafety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.Ability to handle the stress of working with others.Ability to be available outside of normal work hours.Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others.Ability to lead by example.Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles.Ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.Ability to apply technical, scientific, and mathematical knowledge to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective.Knowledge of existing and planned approaches for methods for manufacturing products or product components.Knowledge of methodologies, tools, and techniques for designing, building and managing the manufacture of new tools.Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and site.Travel Requirements5% – 10% travel.
