POSITION SUMMARYIES is seeking a licensed Production/Manufacturing Engineer to support the design, optimization, and oversight of fabrication and assembly processes within our communications infrastructure operations. This role bridges engineering and production, ensuring that manufactured components, prefabricated assemblies, and production workflows meet quality, efficiency, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on manufacturing expertise, a process improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, and field teams.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProcess Design and OptimizationDesign, develop, and optimize manufacturing and production processes for communications infrastructure components and assembliesEvaluate current production workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectivenessDevelop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating proceduresSupport new product introduction by translating engineering designs into manufacturable production processesApply lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and improve throughputCollaborate with design engineering teams to ensure producibility and design‑for‑manufacture principles are appliedProduction and Field SupportProvide technical support to production teams during fabrication and assembly operationsConduct floor and site visits to assess production conditions, verify process compliance, and resolve technical issuesSupport field teams with engineering guidance on installation of prefabricated or manufactured componentsParticipate in project kickoff meetings, production planning reviews, and client‑facing discussions as neededAssist with testing, quality inspection, and acceptance of manufactured assemblies prior to deploymentQuality and ComplianceEnsure all manufacturing processes and outputs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirementsSupport quality assurance programs and root cause analysis for production nonconformancesMaintain awareness of relevant industry standards and incorporate updates into production practicesIdentify and resolve technical issues that arise during production or field installationSpecific QualificationsRequiredBachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field from an accredited institutionActive Professional Engineer (PE) license, requiredMinimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering, preferably in construction, telecommunications, or infrastructure‑related industriesProficiency in CAD and manufacturing design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and applicable industry standardsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentationValid driver's license and ability to travel to production facilities and project sites as requiredPreferredExperience with prefabrication or modular assembly for communications or electrical infrastructureLean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)Familiarity with design‑build project delivery and construction environmentsExperience with ERP or production management systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management toolsWORKING CONDITIONSThis position requires a combination of office, production facility, and field work.
