Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer supports production operations by improving processes, optimizing equipment performance, and leading facility and infrastructure projects. This role partners with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive efficiency, quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide manufacturing engineering support to all plant departments

  • Troubleshoot production and maintenance issues related to serial manufacturing

  • Ensure equipment performance meets efficiency and reliability standards

  • Support and optimize preventive maintenance programs

  • Analyze equipment operating data to ensure performance aligns with design standards

  • Serve as a technical resource to maintenance and production teams

  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, OEE, standard work, etc.)

  • Manage and support facility engineering projects

  • Coordinate subcontractors and facility maintenance activities

  • Lead infrastructure projects including equipment installations and facility upgrades

  • Coordinate compliance and certification programs for material handling equipment

  • Provide technical support during installation of new equipment and facility construction

  • Develop and maintain accurate process documentation and work instructions

  • Prepare technical and non-technical reports and presentations

  • Partner cross-functionally with product, process, safety, and environmental teams

  • Drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements through engineering solutions

  • Review manufacturing engineering criteria for new and proposed projects

  • Manage equipment asset tagging and documentation

  • Develop standards for major maintenance overhauls

  • Maintain facility layouts and equipment drawings using CAD

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment

  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment

  • Proficiency in CAD software for layouts and equipment installation drawings

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

  • Proven ability to lead engineering projects and facility initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering discipline

  • Several years of facilities or manufacturing engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment

  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred but not required

  • Proven record of facilities management and maintenance leadership

  • Demonstrated success leading cost-focused engineering initiatives

Physical & Work Environment

  • Office and manufacturing floor environments

  • Frequent standing, walking, and interaction on the production floor

  • Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds

  • Manufacturing environment may include noise, heat, particulates, and industrial materials

  • PPE required in designated areas

Work Schedule & Travel

  • Ability to work extended hours as required to support production

  • Occasional domestic or international travel may be required
