Our client is actively looking for a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting precision machining processes using Swiss-type CNC lathes and CNC screw machines.
This role focuses on CAM programming in Mastercam, process development, tooling selection, and hands-on shop floor support to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable production of high-precision components.
The Manufacturing Engineer partners closely with machinists, quality, and engineering teams to take parts from concept through stable production.
Responsibilities: CNC Programming & Process Development
Develop, program, and optimize CNC Swiss-lathe and screw machine programs using Mastercam.
Create and maintain machining processes for new and existing products, including operation sequences, tooling strategies, and setup documentation.
Support programs prove-out, debugging, and optimization on the shop floor to ensure production readiness.
Swiss & Lathe Machining Support
Provide technical support for Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar Swiss?type machines, as well as CNC lathe/screw machining operations.
Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, work holding, offsets, cycle time, surface finish, and part quality.
Assist machinists and operators with setup improvements, process stability, and best practices.
Tooling, Quality & Continuous Improvement
Select cutting tools, holders, and materials; optimize speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies.
Apply GD&T and blueprint interpretation to ensure parts meet dimensional and functional requirements.
Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, and process standardization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
