Our client operates globally with strong technical and customer support, and its subsidiary drives continued growth and product development.Job SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for working with the local and remote teams to oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, production planning, quality assurance, process optimization, vendor/materials coordination, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in electronic manufacturing and power system products, and the ability to drive efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.Job DescriptionMaintain, develop, and implement manufacturing and operational strategies aligned with organizational goals and business objectives at our Houston facility.Ensure on-time delivery of products while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and reliability.Ensure availability of materials, components, and production resources required to meet manufacturing targets, while maintaining a minimal inventory footprint.Collaborate with engineering, R&D, supply chain, and quality teams to support new product introduction and process improvements.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, waste reduction, and operational excellence, including optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and manufacturing resources to maintain competitiveness and cost efficiency.Provide administrative and operational support with respect to local and multi-facility interactions, local regulatory and health & safety concerns, and corporate ISO initiatives, ISO management systems, including all training and auditing as required.Maintain manufacturing systems, documentation, operational records, and equipment and fixture, including preventative maintenance and calibration.Skills Required8+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, and/or quality environment, including management or supervisory responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of production operations, quality systems, PCB manufacturing, and inspection processes & product development lifecycleExperience working with design engineering teams, EMS providers, vendors, and manufacturing partners, supporting automated test systems, circuit board inspection, in-circuit and offline programming, and various manufacturing metrics and KPIsDirect experience in NI LabVIEW & TestStand and/or IPC-A-610 inspection standards is an assetA strong grasp of administrative operations, including facility, infrastructure, regulatory, and quality aspects of the organizationExperience in the power systems or protection relay industry preferredExperience with ISO 9001 quality management systems requiredFamiliarity with ERP systems such as SAP and inventory/production management tools.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environmentEducation/Training/CertificationsBachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.Additional RequirementsWork Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pmPay Rate/Salary$85K - $90K annually.
