  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation.

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify automation opportunities.

  • Lead projects involving new equipment selection, implementation, validation, and integration into production.

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and automation teams to improve manufacturing performance.

  • Support new product launches and production line development.

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures.

  • Assist with PFMEA, control plans, process validation, and quality improvement activities.

  • Analyze production data to identify trends and prioritize improvement efforts.

  • Improve key operational metrics including cycle time, downtime, scrap, throughput, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and production processes.

  • Support plant layout, workflow improvements, and capacity planning initiatives.

  • Help identify and execute strategic projects that improve manufacturing capabilities and support future growth.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a highly interactive manufacturing engineering role with approximately 70% of time spent on the production floor and 30% spent on documentation, analysis, and project work.

The environment includes assembly operations, automation equipment, and high-volume manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas, challenge the status quo, and help drive operational excellence throughout the facility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Engineering preferred).

  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process improvement, and Lean principles.

  • Experience implementing new equipment, automation, or capital projects.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of material.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience developing manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process controls.

  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Automation integration and equipment implementation.

  • Manufacturing process validation.

  • Production line optimization.

  • Quality systems and manufacturing best practices.
