Job Overview ILC Dover is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong electrical systems and programming background to support Defense and Space programs. This role is responsible for embedding Design for Manufacturing DFM principles into product development while also serving as the test engineering lead for defined products when laboratory testing is required.

This is a highly cross functional role that bridges design manufacturing and testing ensuring products transition efficiently from development to production while meeting performance quality and verification requirements.

Responsibilities Drive Design for Manufacturing DFM and Design for Assembly DFA principles throughout the product development lifecycle

Partner with Design Engineering to improve manufacturability reduce complexity and increase first pass yield Serve as the technical interface between Engineering and Manufacturing

Evaluate designs for part count reduction tolerance stack-ups material and process selection assembly and test efficiency

Lead manufacturing readiness and producibility reviews

Serve as the Test Engineer for space and defense products during laboratory testing. Develop and execute test plans procedures verification and validation activities

Support functional environmental and integration testing Analyze test data and drive root cause and corrective actions for failures

Ensure test activities align with program quality and customer requirements

Work closely with Quality Supply Chain Manufacturing and Program Management to support issue resolution across design build and test phases

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and manufacturing processes

Requirements Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Aerospace Engineering or related field.

3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering electrical engineering test engineering or a hybrid role.

Hands on experience supporting hardware development and testing.

Understanding of design for manufacturing principles manufacturing processes and assembly methods and test planning and execution.

Ability to work effectively in a lab and production environment.

Core Competencies Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Preferences Experience supporting Defense Aerospace or Space Syste
