Description

Summary:

  • Location: Greenville, SC
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • 2nd Shift Position

Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize high-efficiency CNC programs for complex multi-axis setups cutting high-temperature superalloys.
  • Use digital twin software to validate code and optimize toolpaths in a risk-free virtual environment.
  • Develop adaptive probing routines, macro programming, and closed-loop machining processes.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineers and shop-floor teams to commission new multi-million-dollar machine tools and establish baseline machining standards.
  • Act as a technical mentor and partner on the floor, troubleshooting setups and sharing knowledge across the team.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience programming 4 and 5-axis continuous milling, large VTLs, or multi-axis grinding systems using graphical CAM software.
  • Experience machining high-temperature alloys or heavy structural parts, along with familiarity with modern controls.
  • Experience with on-machine probing including Renishaw macros.
  • A pride in craftsmanship that prioritizes method setup, process stability, and safety.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with offline programming in a CAM system.

Preferred Skills:

  • Siemens NX CAM experience preferred and will be given priority.
