With our client, you will work in multidisciplinary teams to bring concept of operations to fruition and further our customers' mission objectives. As a manufacturing engineer in our client's Hagerstown, MD location, you will play a critical role in our special mission aircraft efforts and help lead the way in developing next-generation Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms.Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer:You will research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge products and services that range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems to highly integrated aircraft.Specifically, you will be instrumental in the development and enhancement of our special mission aircraft, ensuring they meet the unique needs and stringent requirements of our clients.Your responsibilities will include consulting with program management, design engineers, quality assurance, and production teams to develop the most efficient and cost-effective means of producing our products at the highest quality possible.You will review engineering designs for producibility and oversee all aspects of design conception through implementation. This includes the development of tooling and fixtures, work instructions, and production processes and procedures.Additionally, you will apply manufacturing technologies and industry best practices during the design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring that our special mission aircraft are built to the highest standards and performance criteria.Qualifications of the Manufacturing Engineer:Background in the Aerospace and Defense IndustryParticipation in dispositions of Non-Conformance generation through a Material Review Board (MRB)Experience with new product introduction and transition to productionExperience with CATIA CAD software to create detailed tool designs and drawingsExperience with CNC programming and machiningExperience with aircraft modificationExperience interacting with shop floor personal from project conception through implementationFamiliarity working with vendors on outside tooling fabricationBachelor's of Science degree in related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experienceFamiliarity in applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5Knowledge of industry standard design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing and production processes.Experience with work instruction/traveler developmentExposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systemsAbility to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Security ClearanceBenefits of the Manufacturing Engineer:Paying up to $51/hrMatching 401K4 month+ contractOnsite role in Hagerstown, MarylandSeniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Employment type ContractJob function Job function Engineering, Manufacturing, and ConsultingIndustries Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing, Defense and Space Manufacturing, and IT Services and IT ConsultingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Links Technology Solutions by 2xSign in to set job alerts for “Manufacturing Engineer” roles.
