    Job DescriptionThe Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in supporting both New Product Introduction (NPI) and the end‑to‑end project management of new and existing products within the LS & E Americas Group. This position ensures successful industrialization of new products from concept through full‑scale production, while optimizing processes, improving quality, reducing costs, and ensuring on‑time project delivery. The role involves travel to four manufacturing sites within the U.S.ResponsibilitiesNew Product Introduction (NPI)Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new product launches from design transfer through production ramp‑upCollaborate with R&D and Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)Develop, validate, and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new productsSupport PFMEA, control plans, process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and production trialsDrive pilot builds, line trials, and production scale‑up while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targetsProject ManagementLead and manage cross‑functional projects related to new product launches and process improvementsDevelop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, resources, risks, and deliverablesTrack and communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholdersEnsure projects meet milestones, budgets, and performance objectivesCoordinate capital projects including equipment specification, procurement, installation, and commissioningProcess Engineering & Continuous ImprovementResearch, design, and implement cost‑effective manufacturing processes for new and existing productsDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, yield, scrap reduction, and labor efficiencyTroubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable corrective actionsImprove equipment reliability, uptime, and changeover efficiencyOperations SupportProvide daily engineering support to production to maintain performance targetsDevelop standard work instructions and train operators and maintenance teamsEnsure robust process control and quality systems are maintainedCost & Performance OptimizationIdentify and execute cost reduction opportunities through process innovation and material optimizationPrepare and justify capital appropriation requests (CARs)Monitor and report on cost savings and operational improvementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field5 years experience in manufacturing/process engineering or new product introductionStrong project management skills (planning, execution, risk management)Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint; Project preferred)Knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks)Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience leading NPI or product industrialization projectsFamiliarity with stage‑gate or product development lifecycle processesLean manufacturing experience (5S, TPM, Kaizen, VSM)Knowledge of process validation, PFMEA, and statistical analysisCAPEX project management experienceSalary: $80‑90k#J-18808-Ljbffr
