    Why You Will Love this Job

    The Manufacturing Engineer performs professional engineering assignments of a moderately broad scope utilizing existing technology independently. Leads engineering subtasks involving the design, fabrication, validation, and manufacture of subassemblies, systems, processes, and equipment. Conceives and plans engineering subtasks to explore product or process problems with limited guidance; defines and selects new concepts and approaches to the design or development of new or improved products, processes, equipment or facilities.

    This is role fully onsite based in our Hattiesburg, MS location.

    Specific Responsibilities:
    • Prepare detailed project plans including statements of technical objectives and approaches, task breakdowns, timelines, project cost estimates, and product cost analyses to submit for approval.
    • Lead technical projects involving the design, development, prototype construction, delivery, test, evaluation, and release for production.
    • Use data to support and communicate technical decisions.
    • Participate and contribute to innovative technical work using in-depth design and development engineering principles.
    • Make appropriate decisions using decision support tools, critical thinking, and being mindful of business impact of changes.
    • Keep abreast and aware of state-of-the-art and important events in areas relevant to engine design and development through publications, outside contacts, meetings, tradeshows, seminars and short courses.
    • Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills to convey information to core teams and management.
    • Work to develop individual goals / objectives to support the department goals through the use of the Maximizing Performance Appraisal Process.
    • Develop and deliver presentations that are tailored to the audience.

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology
    • 2-5 years of work experience in a technical and complex industry of manufacturing components and systems. Experience creating and reading process flow diagrams and 2D CAD Layouts.
    • Effective communication skills, sense of urgency, and initiative.
    • Strong computer skills, both hardware and software.
    • Must have a passion for continuous learning and development of new skills and knowledge.
