JSG is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining manufacturing methods that elevate product quality, reduce costs, and streamline operations. In this dynamic position, you'll collaborate closely with design engineering and production teams to bring cutting-edge products to life, ensuring manufacturing excellence at every stage. This is a contract position in Hauppauge NY

Pay: $60/hour

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with CAD software and MS Office suite
  • Fundamental knowledge of electronics and mechanical assembly principles
  • Experience with mathematical concepts like geometry, trigonometry, and statistical inference
  • Practical understanding of process flow development and standard operating procedures
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems and cost/benefit analysis
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with tooling and equipment justification and ROI analysis
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (required)
  • 4+ years in manufacturing process development and project management
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and technical liaison roles
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling varied and complex problems
  • Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to evolving priorities
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate proactive problem-solving capabilities and a strong orientation toward continuous improvement
