LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the medical device space to find a Manufacturing Engineer for their team in Hicksville, NY. This is a hands-on role focused on improving production processes, driving efficiency, and supporting the development of high-quality products.
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring production efficiency, cost effectiveness, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput
Support cost estimating efforts for new and ongoing projects
Develop, test, and implement manufacturing processes, including both automated and manual systems
Analyze production requirements and equipment capabilities to optimize performance
Design, specify, and support installation of manufacturing equipment
Streamline workflows, production layouts, and facility organization to maximize output
Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and quality improvement
Train production staff on new processes, tools, and best practices
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, suppliers, and vendors
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards
Support upgrades to systems, processes, and equipment leveraging new technologies
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tooling
Experience working with CNC equipment and quality assurance practices
Familiarity with CAD software and Microsoft Office tools
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Strong project management and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
