Manufacturing Engineer

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the medical device space to find a Manufacturing Engineer for their team in Hicksville, NY. This is a hands-on role focused on improving production processes, driving efficiency, and supporting the development of high-quality products.

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring production efficiency, cost effectiveness, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput

  • Support cost estimating efforts for new and ongoing projects

  • Develop, test, and implement manufacturing processes, including both automated and manual systems

  • Analyze production requirements and equipment capabilities to optimize performance

  • Design, specify, and support installation of manufacturing equipment

  • Streamline workflows, production layouts, and facility organization to maximize output

  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and quality improvement

  • Train production staff on new processes, tools, and best practices

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, suppliers, and vendors

  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards

  • Support upgrades to systems, processes, and equipment leveraging new technologies

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tooling

  • Experience working with CNC equipment and quality assurance practices

  • Familiarity with CAD software and Microsoft Office tools

  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
