What You Will Do

The Manufacturing Engineer I, under the direction of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, is responsible for the design, implementation, fixturing and methodology to support daily production and coordinate with new product development teams.

Manufacturing Engineers will analyze the value stream and identify opportunities to eliminate non-value added steps in the process as well as provide engineering support/guidance for one or more product lines.
  • Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and or regulations are met.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and acts in accordance with NMT's Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT's Quality Manual.
  • Abide by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies
  • Design, develop, and coordinate the testing procedures required in the evaluation and/or inspection of manufacturing processes required to meet customer specification.
  • Design and develop process improvements.
  • Works with Manufacturing and Purchasing in the investigation/selection and procurement of new materials and tools required to improve product quality and reduce product cost.
  • Develops performance characteristics of components, sub-assemblies or systems using experimental and analytical techniques.
  • Plans and conducts experiments; may operate complex equipment for measuring electrical, mechanical or physical properties.
  • Analyze and interpret test data; provide technical assistance to other departments as needed.
  • Establishes engineering project cost proposal for major projects.
  • Writes engineering progress and other technical reports.
  • Regular attendance is required.

What You Bring

Core Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BS or BE from an accredited university) in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent.
  • Professional experience with: Group presentations, technical reporting, analysis of facts and technical data.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the medical device manufacturing field, preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
