Our Client, an Agriculture Products company, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer I for their Moline, IL location.
Responsibilities:
As an OFP Assembly Manufacturing Engineer for Seeding Group located in Moline, IL, you will:
Support daily operations by responding to tactical safety, quality, and efficiency issues while supporting/leading performance improvements for the business unit team
Support uptime of tools, fixtures, and equipment
Support/lead engineering projects to improve safety, quality, and efficiency through torque tooling improvements, capital investment projects, client expansion/deployment
Identify opportunities & implement continuous improvement projects in support of achieving CI200 target goals for safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency
Requirements:
Experience with process improvement projects (Example: directly targeting production metrics like cycle time reduction, scrap elimination, ergonomic safety, and tool design)
Support in a production/factory floor UAW environment
Knowledge of basic assembly tooling and equipment (Fixtures, Torque, MES system)
1-3 years' experience supporting production/factory floor in a UAW environment
Working knowledge of basic assembly tooling and equipment
Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally with both salary and wage workforce
Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete multiple, concurrent projects
Experience with tooling improvement projects

Knowledge and experience applying principles of performance-based pay plans (EX: CIPP) (CIPP stands for Continuous Improvement Pay Plan.
This is client’s proprietary incentive compensation system for shop-floor production employees.
Under CIPP, factory operators work in "pools" or teams, and their weekly pay bonuses are directly tied to their team's efficiency, quality (low scrap/rework), and safety metrics.)
MP Planner/W Planner knowledge and experience
(Utilized MP Planner and W Planner to author robust Sequences of Events (SOE)
Experience with Dynamic Line Balancing Tool (DLBT): (a software solution used in manufacturing to optimize the distribution of workloads across assembly lines and workstations in real time. Unlike traditional static balancing, which relies on historic time averages and fixed spreadsheets, dynamic tools continuously absorb actual floor-level shop data to address bottlenecks, human variability, and high-variant product mixes as they occur.)

Experience learning and applying technology, systems, data mining and analysis tools to drive business improvements
