Manufacturing Engineer I – At RTX, manufacturing engineers develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods. In this role you will support daily manufacturing areas, troubleshoot processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Responsibilities Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, and tool and fixture designs.Support daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporate engineering changes into the MDP.Disposition non‑conforming material with root‑cause and corrective action analysis.Assist in driving continuous improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, and reduce costs using Six Sigma principles and data‑driven decision making.Provide real‑time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators, in‑house and at the supply base.Assist with tool/fixture development to incorporate ergonomics into processes.Assist with corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.Less than two years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start date.Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work across disciplines.Experience with technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE).Experience with automated tooling, machinery, and programming.Excellent organizational skills with fine attention to detail.Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology.Ability to work in a team environment.Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability.401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, and other financial‑planning benefits.Employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.Annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation programs (subject to position level and collective‑bargaining agreement).Salary range: $57,200USD – $108,800USD.Equal Opportunity Employer Statement RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
