Job Summary

Join our Menomonee Falls, WI team as a Manufacturing Engineer II. Manufacturing Engineers at Leonardo DRS are involved with the design, development, modification, and analysis of manufacturing processing products and devices that support power systems on US Navy vessels. This engineer troubleshoots and diagnoses problems with existing processes or products and makes modifications and improvements as needed. They compile and evaluate process or product design and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes.

What You Will Do

  • Provide direct engineering support to manufacturing operations
  • Perform design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations
  • Prepare plans, conduct support studies, and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations
  • Participate in the development of manufacturing process plans, test requirements, and manufacturing flow, and capacity plans
  • Review detail designs for manufacturability and producibility

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field with 2-5 years applicable engineering experience
  • Broad understanding of electro-mechanical and mechanical equipment
  • Able to visualize and comprehend manufacturing equipment or tooling problems and understand the interrelationships of factors affecting the situation
  • Lean/Six-Sigma experience/training/certification
  • Interpersonal and communication skills needed to positively influence production processes
  • Detail oriented with a desire to be hands-on
