Manufacturing Engineer III- Defense- Brentwood, NH

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II or III to support machining operations, process development, tooling implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives within a precision manufacturing environment. This role will be heavily involved in optimizing production methods, increasing efficiency, and improving manufacturability while partnering closely with operations, quality, and engineering teams.

Description

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for precision machined components and assemblies
• Support machine shop operations through process optimization and troubleshooting
• Design and develop fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing aids using CAD software
• Lead equipment and tooling planning efforts to support production requirements
• Analyze manufacturing performance and identify opportunities for increased throughput, quality, and cost reduction
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation
• Improve assembly and manufacturing workflows to enhance efficiency and product quality
• Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
• Participate in process validation, root cause investigations, and corrective actions
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process standards

Profile

A successful Manufacturing Engineer III should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred
• 3-5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
• Experience supporting machining processes and machine shop environments
• Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixture development
• Experience designing fixtures and tooling using CAD software
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience improving assembly processes and manufacturing workflows
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
• Aerospace and defense industry experience preferred, but candidates from other highly regulated or advanced manufacturing industries are encouraged to apply
