Job Description

Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for precision machined components and assemblies. Support machine shop operations through process optimization and troubleshooting. Design and develop fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing aids using CAD software. Lead equipment and tooling planning efforts to support production requirements. Analyze manufacturing performance and identify opportunities for increased throughput, quality, and cost reduction. Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation. Improve assembly and manufacturing workflows to enhance efficiency and product quality. Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges. Participate in process validation, root cause investigations, and corrective actions. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manufacturing Engineer III should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred
  • 3-5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Experience supporting machining processes and machine shop environments
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixture development
  • Experience designing fixtures and tooling using CAD software
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience improving assembly processes and manufacturing workflows
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
  • Aerospace and defense industry experience preferred, but candidates from other highly regulated or advanced manufacturing industries are encouraged to apply
