Description
- Develop, improve, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to enhance quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using both CAM software and manual G-code programming techniques.
- Provide hands-on support on the shop floor, including machine setup validation, troubleshooting, process verification, and production support.
- Investigate manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions using Lean methodologies.
- Partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to develop effective manufacturing strategies and improve overall process performance.
- Support the development of inspection methods, gauges, and quality verification processes for new and existing products.
- Design and implement multi-step manufacturing processes that meet customer specifications and internal operational objectives.
- Utilize CAM software tools and manufacturing systems to support process development and program optimization.
- Collaborate effectively with personnel at all levels to drive process improvements and resolve production challenges.
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within a CNC machining environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with CNC lathes and milling machines.
- Ability to create, edit, and optimize CNC programs utilizing both G-code and CAM software.
- Working knowledge of CAM systems; experience with advanced manufacturing software preferred.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering specifications.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and drive successful outcomes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
