Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing equipment, tooling, and process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process-related issues while partnering with production and maintenance teams to resolve problems.
  • Support capital equipment projects, including vendor identification, equipment selection, purchasing justification, and implementation.
  • Create and maintain standardized work instructions, operating procedures, and production standards.
  • Coordinate tooling and fixturing requirements, repairs, and priorities with internal teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation.
  • Analyze production performance and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Assist with engineering documentation, training programs, and implementation of best practices.
  • Support safety initiatives and help identify opportunities to improve workplace safety and operational effectiveness.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams focused on manufacturing improvement projects.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering experience within a production environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to work in a hands-on manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or Inventor.
  • Ability to read blueprints and utilize precision measuring equipment.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, SPC, and manufacturing process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
