Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations in a high-volume, technology-driven environment. This position will focus on process optimization, continuous improvement, new product introduction, equipment and tooling qualification, and solving production issues.

The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with Operations, Quality, R&D, and other cross-functional teams to ensure products are manufacturable, processes are capable and efficient, and production goals are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong analytical skills and experience using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve safety, quality, cost, and productivity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support new product development and introduction by ensuring manufacturability, quality, and scalability.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support throughout the product lifecycle, from development through production.
  • Identify production issues, analyze data, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Monitor key manufacturing metrics and drive improvements in productivity, quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage process changes, validation activities, and equipment qualifications, including IQ/OQ/PQ.
  • Support PFMEA, DOE, process capability studies, and other structured problem-solving activities.
  • Plan, specify, and qualify tooling and equipment required to support production.
  • Use engineering and data analysis tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SQL to support process development, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Utilize manufacturing systems such as JDE to support production, process, and operational activities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to assess manufacturing risks and support project execution.
  • Train and support operations personnel on new and improved processes.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable SOPs, quality requirements, regulatory standards, and contamination-control practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process innovation and implement practical improvements that increase operational performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably within semiconductor, electronics, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
  • Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), PFMEA, DOE, process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and process capability analysis.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom operations, contamination control, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for engineering design, process development, or equipment-related work is preferred.
  • Experience using SQL and/or JDE to analyze manufacturing data or support operational processes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, or similar approaches is preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or formal training is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with Operations, Quality, R&D, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to production and operations personnel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
