Responsibilities
- Program and develop processes for large VTL, VBM, and 5-axis gantry machines.
- Generate and maintain CNC programs using NX-CAM or similar software.
- Verify CNC programs with Vericut before shop floor release.
- Incorporate on-machine probing for part validation using Renishaw cycles.
- Provide support and training to operators and manufacturing engineers.
- Initiate and lead process improvement projects.
- Communicate effectively within a matrixed organization.
Requirements
- 4 years of experience with graphical based CAM System CNC Programming.
- Experience with Siemens NX CAM preferred.
- Hands-on machinist background with setup and first-piece program proofing.
- Experience machining nickel-based superalloys.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in shop math.
- Proficiency in interpreting drawing requirements.
Preferences
- Experience creating 5-axis CNC programs using a CAM system.
- Familiarity with high-level machine tool controls and CLM.
- Experience using Vericut or similar CNC verification software.
- Familiarity with multiple machine controls: Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Siemens.
