Supports manufacturing by planning, directing and coordinating manufacturing processes with machine shop operations. Typical duties include:
• Preparing and estimating machine cycle times and costs • Programming CNC mills • Developing manufacturing methods • Selecting and requisitioning of tools for efficient manufacturing • Designing and building fixtures for CNC machines • Training CNC machine operators on new jobs • Preparing detailed manufacturing instructions and documents
Requirements:
• An associate's degree in a related technical area (four-year degree preferred) • Two years of related experience • Strong CNC programming and tooling knowledge • Good communication and math skills
Must be well-versed in machining methods on castings and welded fabrications, and have strong tooling knowledge
