Description:
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer (ME) - Level 2 for the Manufacturing Engineering team which is responsible for designing and optimizing production processes, equipment, and material-handling solutions.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Manufacturing Engineer (ME) - Level 2 you will be responsible for creating efficient manufacturing layouts, improving machine utilization, and ensuring product quality through data-driven methods.

Your responsibilities will include:

Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and floor layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, and material handling.

Optimize machine arrangements and develop operation sequences to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Specify tooling and equipment requirements, incorporate inspection and test criteria, and advise on statistical process control integration.

Evaluate machinery performance, initiate corrective actions, and provide design input to engineering for optimal manufacturability.

Ensure all work complies with applicable regulations, standards, and internal quality requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree required to apply with two years of professorial experience

• Experience utilizing and interpreting engineering documents including blueprints and specifications.

• Experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Desired Skills:
• 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
• Professional experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including design engineering, manufacturing planning, scheduling, facilities engineering, and industrial engineering.
• Ability to mentor and teach individuals or small groups.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Experience with C-130J manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Experience with Capital Planning process and requirements

Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
