Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer (Manufacturing/Aerospace)

Duration:  04 Months Contract Only 

Payrate range : $47-$50/hr. on w2 without benefits 

 

Custom Questions: 

  • Do you have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or a related Engineering field, along with 2–5 years of Manufacturing Engineer experience?
  • Do you have experience in aerospace or other high-precision manufacturing environments?
  • Do you have with manufacturing process improvements, Lean Manufacturing (5S, JIT, Process Mapping, Kaizen), and continuous improvement initiatives?
  • Are you proficient with GD&T and CAD/CAM software (such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, NX, or similar) used for manufacturing engineering?
  • This is a 4-month, onsite contract role in Moncks Corner, SC. Are you available to work onsite Monday–Friday?

 

Description:

  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment typically in a single manufacturing facility. Supports the manufacture and assembly of new and existing products. Identifies improved manufacturing techniques for testing new systems and methods for efficiency, and planning assembly layouts to optimize production, quality, cost, and safety.
  • Plans and designs basic manufacturing processes to improve the manufacture and assembly of new and existing products. Determines equipment and tooling needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product and quality specifications.
  • Develops and implements process improvement projects that focus on manufacturing efficiency, material yield, safety, and cost. May lead small teams in developing and implementing process improvement efforts.
  • Provides guidance to engineering leadership regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensures more complex processes and procedures comply with regulations. Applies frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering field with 2-5 years of experience
  • Proficient/Working knowledge and ability to apply concepts of engineering for one solution line
  • Effectively apply continuous improvement methods to quality and manufacturing functions (e.g. pull systems, process mapping, JIT)
  • Proficient/Working knowledge of data structures and database programming
  • Ability to work effectively with CAD/CAM systems or other computer aided manufacturing systems, in addition to standard business application software and/ or specialized data analysis tools
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
