Summary: 

• Develops and implements manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.

• Drives adoption of new technologies and processes including automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software.

• Creates and analyzes 3D-based model data environments to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions.

• Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences.

• Evaluates performance of equipment and tools including IoT devices and initiates corrective action.

• Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions.

• Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements.

• Influences decisions without formal authority as technical lead on design reviews and process improvement initiatives.

• Applies Systems Engineering V Model, requirements flow down, and verification and validation processes.

• Uses Model Based Engineering (MBSE) for manufacturing process optimization.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

• Preferred: Master’s degree or coursework in Model Based Engineering (MBE) or Systems Engineering.

• 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high tech hardware.

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering.

• 3+ years of experience with Model Based Engineering (MBSE).

• Understanding of the Systems Engineering V Model, requirements flow down, and verification and validation (V&V) processes.

• Influencing decisions without formal authority (technical lead on design reviews, process improvement initiatives).
