Manufacturing Engineer - Mechanical - Devens, MA

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the development and optimization of assembly processes across pumps, hose, extrusion, injection molding, and single-use products. This role will partner with local and global teams to improve productivity, standardize manufacturing processes, support facility expansion, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and operational performance.

Description

• Lead continuous improvement projects to improve productivity, quality, and manufacturing performance.
• Standardize tooling, fixtures, manufacturing processes, and equipment across global operations.
• Develop and execute capital projects supporting manufacturing expansion initiatives.
• Partner with production teams to improve product quality, throughput, and operational efficiency.
• Develop process controls and documentation to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing waste.
• Support new product development teams to ensure manufacturability and production readiness.
• Specify, procure, and implement assembly equipment, tooling, fixtures, and gauges.
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic support for manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Investigate production issues and support corrective action activities.
• Maintain manufacturing documentation, standard operating procedures, and engineering change processes.

Profile

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting assembly and test operations.
• Knowledge of SPC and process control methodologies.
• Experience analyzing manufacturing equipment and implementing process improvements.
• Strong background utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Working knowledge of FMEA, DFMA, RCA, and quality improvement tools.
• Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
