Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for engineering activities to develop processes, define controls, and institute effective variability reduction efforts in manufacturing areas.Essential FunctionsDevelop processes, define controls, and institute effective variability reduction efforts in manufacturing areasPerform daily audits to ensure procedures are being followed on the manufacturing floorUpdate/revise area procedures to ensure clarity and reduce the opportunity for process variationPerform data analysis to identify and control process excursionsContinuously evaluations/improves processes in order to maintain or improve upon budgeted yields.Perform engineering trials to evaluate improvements to processes, tools, and equipmentParticipates in cost reduction, continuous improvement and new part introduction (NPI) teams, as neededDrive process and improvement initiativesContinuously improves processes to reduce scrapInitiate and interface with all levels of manufacturing, management, suppliers and customers.Provide hands on, floor level investigations and problem solvingOther duties as assigned.Required SkillsProven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement abilityDemonstrated ability to develop & execute action plans that will deliver resultsWorking knowledge of a Zero Defect Program: PFMEA, Control Plan, Process controlDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Desired SkillsHighly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.Six sigma Certification preferredFamiliarity with Minitab softwareProven experience in Manufacturing Industry.Experience & EducationBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials or other related Engineering discipline.Hands-on experience in the airfoils investment casting industry a plus.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.#J-18808-Ljbffr
