Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.THE POSITIONEvaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements.Develop and draft plans for manufacturing procedures.Assist and/or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives including:Cycle time optimizationSetup time reduction (SMED)Reducing machine down timeIncreasing machine efficienciesPrepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.Assist and/or lead company projects and engineering efforts.Educate, train, and supervise all employees on current manufacturing and workflow processes.CNC ProgramsProcess documentationProject data analysis and reportingOther duties as assigned.WHAT YOU CAN BRING2+ years of manufacturing experience requiredDemonstrated ability and knowledge of:Process development, documentation, and implementationReducing machine down timeIncreasing machine efficienciesProject managementExperience with Six sigma problem solving tools (i.e. DMAIC) preferred.Knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks.Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.Problem solver familiar with root cause analysis techniques.WHERE YOU'LL WORKOur freshly renovated facility resides in Meridian, ID, just on the edge of the border with iconic Boise, ID.
