    Description

    Manufacturing Engineer
    Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $85,000–$95,000 | 100% Onsite

    Konik is partnering with a growing manufacturing company seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to improve production processes, support new product introductions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working directly with production teams to solve problems, optimize processes, and implement practical manufacturing solutions. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate across Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to improve safety, efficiency, and overall operational performance.

    Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities

    • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work cells, tooling, fixtures, and equipment to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
    • Provide hands-on engineering support to production teams by troubleshooting issues and implementing process improvements.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data-driven problem solving.
    • Support new product introductions by developing, validating, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
    • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, routings, engineering drawings, and process procedures.
    • Design and modify tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
    • Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and reliability improvement projects.
    • Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve operational performance.

    Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent manufacturing engineering experience will be considered.
    • 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within a production environment.
    • Experience with process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Experience supporting new product introductions, process development, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing documentation.
    • Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and operations teams.
    • Experience supporting ISO 9001 manufacturing environments and ERP systems (SAP preferred) is a plus.
