Mechanical/Manufacturing EngineerSLB is seeking a proactive and technically strong Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to join our Mobile, AL engineering team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a problem‑solving environment, can translate engineering challenges into actionable solutions, and effectively influences stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on manufacturing performance, equipment reliability, and long‑term capital planning while developing leadership capabilities and business acumen.Roles and ResponsibilitiesLead efforts to identify manufacturing equipment issues and develop upgrade or replacement strategiesSpecify equipment purchases or lead design projects with internal teams or external EPC contractorsDesign and evaluate complex engineering solutions, ensuring safety, performance, and cost optimizationPerform engineering stress calculations and prepare technical reports to support project proposalsAddress manufacturability challenges and recommend alternative engineering designsDevelop and execute test procedures to assess equipment capabilities and define future requirementsCollaborate with cross‑functional teams, including operations, management, and external clientsTrain and mentor team members on engineering practices, codes, and technical standardsProvide quality oversight by reviewing, editing, and refining technical reports and deliverablesActively support bid and proposal processes with technical expertise and inputQualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field required)5–7 years of relevant technical experience in manufacturing or engineering environmentsStrong knowledge of engineering design, equipment specification, and stress calculationsExperience with manufacturing processes and equipment evaluationAbility to train and mentor others in engineering methodologies and standardsStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to influence and communicate complex technical concepts clearlyExperience interacting with operators, management, and external stakeholdersMust be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorshipEqual Employment OpportunitySLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
