SUMMARY
Plan, design and integrate tooling, fixtures, and equipment into the manufacturing process and assist in ongoing improvement directly and indirectly related to the manufacturing process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Research and analyze methods required to manufacture product to the customers' requirements and specifications
- Aid in the design of tooling, jigs, fixtures, dies and support equipment required to manufacture product to customer requirements and specifications
- Provide sketches prints or drawings to design department required to produce tooling, jigs, fixtures, dies and support equipment needed by tool production department
- Assist supervisors and operators on improving quality and process capabilities of product
- Liaison with maintenance for new installations, modification and major trouble shooting difficulties
- Research and analyze methods of reducing time and material cost required to manufacture product
- Implement cost reduction programs mandated by customers and or management
- Obtain quotations on equipment, machinery and apparatus required for process improvements and enhancements
- Provide information for written detailed instructions to document control on current processes
- Performs other essential duties as assigned
