This role is responsible for driving production stability, ensuring safety and quality standards, and enabling high‑performance execution in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The engineer will make real‑time decisions, mentor technicians, and act as a critical link between weekend operations and weekday engineering teams to improve processes and drive continuous improvement.Job ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary technical leader for weekend/off‑shift manufacturing operationsMake timely, high‑quality decisions in ambiguous, high‑pressure situationsBalance production output with safety and quality, including stopping work when necessaryLead through influence across cross‑functional teams without direct authorityTrain, mentor, and develop technicians while maintaining accountabilityTrain and coach technicians on high‑precision manufacturing processesTranslate engineering requirements into clear, actionable floor instructionsBuild trust and credibility through hands‑on leadership and engagementReinforce both procedural execution and underlying technical rationaleTroubleshoot non‑conformances in real time using structured problem‑solving methodsDistinguish between process drift and systemic/design issuesEscalate complex engineering or system failures appropriatelyEnsure accurate documentation of issues and actions in systems such as JiraServe as the communication link between weekend execution and weekday engineering teamsIdentify gaps in work instructions and process documentationProvide data‑driven feedback to improve upstream engineering processesMaintain production flow, rhythm, and operational stabilityEnsure effective shift transitions and team readinessVerify technicians have required tools, materials, and instructionsSupport a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environmentRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical experience3+ years of hands‑on manufacturing engineering experienceProficiency with NX (CAD) and Teamcenter (PLM)Experience with Jira, Slack, Odoo, or similar ERP toolsStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and production systemsExperience in FOAK or rapidly scaling manufacturing environmentsAbility to work required night/weekend/on‑call shifts as neededPreferred Qualifications8+ years in high‑complexity assembly environmentsExperience with electric motor‑adjacent insulation systems (e.g., stator winding, VPI, taping, high‑voltage isolation)Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is desirable.Equal Opportunity EmployerBelcan is an equal opportunity employer.
