PGS Worldwide is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Clearwater, Florida for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for CCA and module assemblies. The Manufacturing Engineer will support the production floor, work with operations, and focus on continuous improvement while ensuring processes and procedures comply with regulations and specifications.
Required Skills
Experience designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for CCA and module assemblies.
Ability to interpret engineering prints to design processes.
Ability to work with design engineering to implement production improvements.
Experience supporting the production floor and working with operations teams.
Understanding of circuit card assembly processes.
Ability to design, procure, and implement tooling to support manufacturing processes.
Ability to incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.
Ability to inspect machinery, equipment, and tooling performance to verify efficiency.
Ability to investigate problems and deficiencies and initiate corrective action to ensure product quality.
Ability to provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
Ability to read and write English.
Ability to walk up and down stairs.
Ability to lift at least 20 lbs.
Preferred Skills
Cable harness experience.
Process writing experience.
Electromechanical subassembly experience.
What You’ll Do
Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for circuit card assemblies, module assemblies, and subassemblies.
Interpret engineering prints and develop production processes.
Work with design engineering to implement production improvements.
Support the production floor by working closely with the operations team.
Focus on continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
Design, procure, and implement tooling to support manufacturing.
Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.
Inspect machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency.
Investigate problems and deficiencies and initiate corrective actions.
Ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations and specifications.
Work Schedule / Shift
Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM EST.
