In this position, you will oversee the implementation and upkeep of assembly lines designed for restoring and improving customer products, while collaborating with technicians to diagnose and fix electronic systems, ensuring operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and meet high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the configuration of new production line frameworks for evaluating, restoring, and modifying electronic products
- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of testing fixtures and systems entailing hardware, software, and mechanical elements
- Diagnose product issues and execute root-cause analyses on electronics returned from customer locations
- Gather repair data and maintain precise repair documentation and databases
- Provide insightful feedback to development teams on design modifications, product improvements, and consistent fault patterns
- Assist in creating and documenting protocols for troubleshooting and repair
- Conduct repairs on returned devices abiding by established safety and quality norms
- Support and assist technicians in diagnosing and addressing electronic product issues
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to operational and repair staff
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- Experience in designing or manufacturing microprocessor or microcontroller-based products is essential
- Preferably experienced in an electronics manufacturing context
- Familiarity with automated test systems development is advantageous but not essential
- Strong preference for experience in component-level diagnostics and repairs of electronic products
- Familiarity with switching power supplies is a plus
- Competence in designing, building, and maintaining test fixtures for microcontroller-based products
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical circuits at the component level using schematics and standard test equipment, like oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Thorough understanding of safety practices in the lab and manufacturing environments
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, readiness to learn, and a proactive work ethic
- Ability to operate effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to mentor and develop operations and repair technicians
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
Educational and Professional Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable blend of education and experience
- A proven track record in electronics manufacturing, testing, or repair is highly desirable
