My client is a leading aerospace manufacturer who is growing! They are looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to their team who will assist in the planning and developing of production processes, work instructions, build books, tools, fixtures and equipment necessary to manufacture products. Provides reviews of designs and processes for manufacturability and continuous improvement opportunities.

Job Details
Duties:
1. Plans, develops, and implements production methods and cell set-up, including layout, routers and build books for all products including overhaul & repair.
2. Plans and coordinates efforts toward the acquisition of needed equipment and tooling.
3. Develops and maintains production standards.
4. Assists in the troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical problems and test failures.
5. Reviews engineering drawings for manufacturability. Writes engineering change orders as required.
6. Witnesses and evaluates acceptance tests on units to verify both the performance of the product and the accuracy of the test procedure.
7. Reviews designs and processes for continuous improvement opportunities & manufacturability.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering with 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Candidates with 0 years of experience must have relevant internships, co-ops, and coursework in aerospace manufacturing or an equivalent industry.
2. Familiarity with CAD software, including Creo or equivalent platforms, as well as GD&T drawing standards.
3. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with and provide technical instruction to technicians, machinists, suppliers, customers, and other personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of machining processes, material properties, and manufacturing methods as they relate to the production of component parts.
2. Familiarity with electronics, electrical circuits, electric motors, hydraulic motors, servo valves, and hydraulic test equipment.
3. Experience working with aircraft, aerospace, and/or military equipment.
4. Understanding of aerospace industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.
5. Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management Systems, including quality auditing practices.
6. Experience with FAA and/or EASA certification requirements is highly desirable.
