Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer Automation is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing automated manufacturing systems. This role supports process development, validation, and change management while ensuring production efficiency and meeting project timelines. The engineer will leverage technical expertise to solve problems and drive continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot automation and robotic systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Program and integrate ABB robots and cobots for manufacturing applications.
• Support automation product builds, system integration, and testing activities.
• Collaborate on the design of automated work cells, including vision systems and tooling.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and system layouts.
• Participate in system validation, qualification, and process improvements.
• Develop automation solutions including End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) and fixtures.
• Train technicians and operators on automation systems and processes.
• Use power tools and measurement equipment for setup and maintenance.
• Travel up to 20% for client site integration and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, or production engineering (automotive or related industry preferred).
• Experience in ABB robot/cobot programming.
• Knowledge of HMI software, electrical systems, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and drawings.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with robots such as Fanuc and Universal Robots (UR).
• Proficiency in CAD tools like SolidWorks.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
