A Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production. Lead or assist in cost estimating process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed Provide cost estimations for new and existing projects Create, test and implement manufacturing process Study production and machine requirements Develop and test effective automated and manual systems Design and install equipment Implement manufacturing processes that result in high-quality products. Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance Resolve issues and delays in production Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality Train staff in new and existing processes Collaborate with other engineers, contractors and suppliers Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations Upgrade systems and processes with new technology Reports to: Managing Engineer Necessary Education, Skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications): 3-4 years experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design Familiarity with CNC manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations Well-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office) Project management skills Problem-solving ability Teamwork skills Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field *Manufacturing Engineer pays up to 95k; focused on new product implementation; cnc machine operations experience; hands on role- environment
