Writes purchase instructions according to specifications and quality standards.Estimates production times, outside processing requirements and relates costs to provide information for management decisions.Confers with management and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate optimum production processes.QualificationsSuperior Thread Rolling is seeking a candidate with CNC experience who can apply that knowledge to create routers and inspection plans that team members can follow to produce high-quality aerospace parts in a cost-effective manner. Manufacturing Engineering in Aerospace balances AS9100 and customer compliance quality requirements with business priorities for efficiency, cost control, and profitability, all while maintaining on-time delivery to all customers.This position requires considerable independent judgment and initiative.A college degree is not required to qualify for this position.Minimum 3 years combined CNC machining experience or planning experience in an Aerospace machine shop requiredBlueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T requiredKnowledge of common inspection methods and tools requiredFamiliarity with common methods for CNC programming, fixtures, and order of operations is requiredCAD experience in Catia or Solidworks requiredTouch typing ability and proficiency with basic Office tools like Excel and Word requiredExperience with an MRP system desiredKnowledge of lean manufacturing, cellular concepts, and theory of constraints desiredExperience with grinding, thread rolling, fasteners, and mechanical testing desiredExperience with outside processes such as heat treating, plating, and coatings desiredA degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or another related major with an emphasis in manufacturing, is desiredBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionHolidays, Vacation & Bonuses401(k) with matching company funds (Full Time Employees)Superior Thread Rolling is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace.
