We have an outstanding Contract position for aManufacturing Engineer - Portable Metrologyto join a leading Company located in theYork, PAsurrounding area.
US Citizenship is required.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct inspection and dimensional report generation utilizing laser trackers, Faro arms and high-volume scanners.
Generating detailed inspection reports for Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality.
Conducting laser inspections of new design installations for integration into manufacturing.
Performing inspection tasks for new designs and design changes.
Interfacing with Design Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Manufacturing to address product issues.
Creating and delivering quality inspection plans and reports that provide data to Manufacturing and customers.
Reviewing inspection data and assisting in the development of preventative action plans.
Retrieving quality data and communicating results and statuses to internal and external customers.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
4-year technical degree or relevant experience.
Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Experience using PolyWorks software.
Experience using the following measurement/inspection equipment:
Portable CMM.
Laser Tracker.
High Volume Scanner (ex. Surphaser ).
Desired Qualifications:
Engineering experience with relevant applications in a defense environment.
Specialized technical knowledge of relevant military and commercial design standards.
Knowledge of mechanical design.
Knowledge of assembly processes.
Experience with PTC Creo, SolidWorks or other modeling software.
