Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer

IN OFFICE ONLY
Contract to Hire Permanent Position
MUST RESIDE IN OREGON OR WASHINGTON STATE TO BE CONSIDERED

Location: Tigard, OR

Pay: $70,000 to start DOE

Schedule: Monday - Friday | Day Shift | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

This team values innovation, collaboration, and hands-on problem solving. They are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys being on the production floor, solving real-world challenges, and making a direct impact on efficiency, quality, and throughput.

What You'll Do:

Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and production standards
Partner with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions
Support new product introductions and process validations
Design and improve tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing workflows
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or modifications
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles
Monitor production metrics and identify opportunities for cost savings and productivity improvements
Ensure processes comply with safety and quality standards

What You Need to Have:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
Experience supporting production environments
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
Experience with root cause analysis and process improvement
Excellent communication and project management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems

Manufacturing Engineering experience
Process improvement experience
Experience supporting production and manufacturing teams
Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Hands-on mentality with a desire to improve processes and drive results
