    Description

    Compunetics, Inc. is a manufacturer of state-of-the-art rigid and flexible circuit boards producing products from fast turn high tech multilayer circuit board prototypes to non-traditional, high density and high-speed interconnects which serve a wide variety of customer requirements

    Compunetics is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to take ownership of selected manufacturing processes and related process controls, strengthen existing controls and work instructions and to participate in engineering/quality activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Take ownership of selected manufacturing processes and related process controls
    • Strengthen existing controls and work instructions
    • Introduce new controls as needed
    • Participate in engineering and quality activities
    • Assess and monitor equipment and human resources to meet production requirements
    • Select and make recommendations for new equipment to senior management
    • This position may require direct supervision of Technicians and Operators

    Requirements:

    • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
    • 3-5 years' experience in a PCB manufacturing environment with involvement and responsibility for process control, process improvement and new process development is required
    • Experience with direct supervision of Junior Engineers, Technician or Operators is strongly preferred
    • Problem solving, fail analysis, process control, process improvement, cost reduction, selection of new equipment, and personnel training is required
    • Strong interpersonal and good computer skills required
    • Familiarity with SPC techniques and software, process control, and quality metrics is preferred
