    Description

    Amazon Web Services' Hardware Engineering team is looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineers to help build the world's premier cloud computing platform. The Process Quality team works closely with ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software development teams, and upstream component vendors to scale up manufacturing processes and achieve throughput and quality targets. This role requires the engineer to be a technical contact and take full ownership of the manufacturing launch and resolution of process issues, driving production scaling across a global network and owning PFMEAs, Control Plans and process flows from startup through end of life of the product.Key Job ResponsibilitiesScale up manufacturing on new products across a global networkLead and oversee quality control processes across Contract Manufacturers (CM), Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and component vendorsDeliver hands‑on technical support during new product introductions and launchesInvestigate and resolve customer escalations through comprehensive root cause analysisSupport global operations through regular domestic and international travel (25‑50% of time)Basic Qualifications3+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or similar related field or equivalent experience2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering work experience with server platforms or on high‑tech hardware3+ years of product development experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to productionExperience with the project management of technical projectsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
