POSITION OVERVIEW:<\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/div>
The<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Manufacturing Engineer<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/span>position develops and implements optimal, cost -effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Maintains daily engineering processes and procedures.<\/span>

This position would be based in Muskego, WI, PST is a custom linear actuation and precision component brand that utilizes multiple thread forming techniques to manufacture the most complex products. What sets PST apart from its competitors is the fact that every job is custom.<\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/p>

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:<\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/p>

· Drives productivity improvements throughout the facility.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Reviews engineering designs and drawings and recommends changes to provide for improved productivity as part of our concurrent engineering process.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Performs cost analysis for new engineering designs to support pricing decisions for new products.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Develops production drawings and planning documents to establish sequence of operation in the production of company products.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Investigates and recommends resolution of production problems and works with operations personnel in implementing changes.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Develops modifications to machine tools and existing processes to adapt to new requirements.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Designs and plans layout for machining, processing, assembly, and material handling operations.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Creates concept designs and supports proposals with sketches, layouts and other documentation as needed.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Analyzes engineering sketches, specifications and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape and arrangement of parts.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Uses computer assisted design/drafting software to develop Process/Operation prints.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Writes assembly and test procedures for new products.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Prepares project reports.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Supports quality engineering and the material review board.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Performs regular change request (CR) processing.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Works with product development teams as an engineering design resource.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Participates in cost -reduction activities, component evaluations, and other manufacturing initiatives to support continuous improvement.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· Interfaces with Purchasing, Operations, and Sales Departments.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· This position may require design of tools and fixtures to facilitate production.<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.<\/span><\/font><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span>• 3 -7 years industry experience in <\/span><\/span>CAM programming, CNC Machining, and Thread Rolling.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span>• Knowledge and experience with electric motor design and application a plus.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span>• Ability to work across organizational functions and generate results without direct reporting relationships.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span>• Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality standards, or equivalent<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span>• Must be highly motivated and be a committed team player.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span>• Ability to communicate well both written and verbally.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span>• Previous experience in implementing manufacturing methods & tools.<\/span>
