This organization specializes in producing highly accurate, close-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, and other advanced industries, supporting both domestic and allied customers.Compensation$80,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on skills and experienceOverviewThis company has been operating for decades as a key supplier of machined components for aerospace and defense applications. Known for its commitment to precision, reliability, and continuous improvement, the business provides complex parts that must meet stringent customer and regulatory standards.The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in developing, optimizing, and supporting production processes across machining operations. This role improves manufacturability, enhances quality, increases efficiency, and supports successful new product launches.ResponsibilitiesReview customer drawings, models, and specifications to develop Bill of Materials, outside-processing requirements, and efficient manufacturing workflows.Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and tooling/fixture plans; ensure ERP data is accurate and up to date.Lead root-cause investigations to address production issues and drive scrap reduction, downtime reduction, and overall process improvements.Support CNC machining optimization, tooling design, and new product introduction activities.Collaborate with programming, quality, and production teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.Champion lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, setup reduction, and continuous improvement projects.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on experience.3+ years in manufacturing engineering, preferably within aerospace, defense, or precision machining environments.Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, GD&T, and process documentation.Experience with lean methodologies, root‑cause analysis, and ERP/MRP systems.Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced production environment.This position requires access to technology and information governed by ITAR and EAR regulations.
