Manufacturing Engineer

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their client's dynamic team in Santa Cruz, CA. The client is renowned for providing end-to-end design, engineering, manufacturing, and prototyping solutions to global tech companies, emphasizing flexibility, customization, and exceptional customer and engineering support. This role offers a unique opportunity for a hands-on technician eager to grow, a recent Electrical or Mechanical Engineering graduate ready to launch their career, or a seasoned Manufacturing Engineer seeking a company with a strong employee-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technicians to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Interface with customers to clarify requirements and documentation.
• Review and release customer-provided document packages.
• Develop Operational Method Sheets (OMS) to improve efficiency and quality.
• Support engineering activities, including testing, verification, modifications, and documentation updates.
• Review and release Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Assist with field installations at customer sites.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment.

Required Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 1st shift.
