    • The Manufacturing Engineer Senior is responsible for evaluating manufacturing processes by applying • knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials with other internal areas of • Roush. The role will improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space • requirements, and fixture development. The Manufacturing Engineer Senior will develop and improve • manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching and improving existing prints, • designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment, as well as other • manufacturing responsibilities. The Manufacturing Engineer Senior will serve as the subject matter • expert (SME), able to train and lead a team of engineers within a complex program. 

    As a Manufacturing Engineer Senior, you will:

    • Provide manufacturing feasibility assessments for capacity requirements, product design,engineering changes, scope changes and quality concerns
    • Develop process flow and line layout requirements
    • Develop and implement effective work Instruction
    • Define capital equipment and tooling required and maintain adherence to the budget of theprogram
    • Project manage the procurement and acceptance of required equipment & tooling
    • Project Manage the ME requirements of the Product Development and Launch Processes
    • Facilitate the implementation of production equipment and tooling into the manufacturingfacility and any corresponding technical training
    • Assess the product, process, equipment and tooling strategies for potential ergonomic concernsand manage action items to resolve
    • Provide coaching and assistance to entry level mechanical engineers while acting as a SME andprovide training and guidance
    • Lead special projects and/or continuous improvement activities

    To be considered as a Manufacturing Engineer Senior, you will need:

    • Must qualify as a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to accommodate International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance (Defense)
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, emphasis in manufacturing, weldingand or assembly processes
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production-based environment
    • Good driving record.
    •  Knowledge of production weldment fixtures, low volume production manufacturing andassembly
    • Ability to conduct time studies and workflow analysis
    • Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 processes and procedures
    • Proficient with MS Office with the specific ability to create project plans
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, be detail oriented, work independently and execute plans while providing leadership to the team

    A successful Manufacturing Engineer Senior candidate may also have:

    • Experience with automotive, aviation or defense industries
    • Experience in advanced manufacturing (robotics, moderate volume automation, programmablelogic controllers (PLC Controls)
    • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations(ITAR) compliance
    • Experience leading a team in complex programs
    • Knowledge of code welding terms
    • Knowledge of APQP process
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices
